About Lisa
An ESL Teacher for Adults

Welcome to my space for English language learning!
This page is all about me, Lisa, an ESL teacher! I help adult learners build confidence and speak English more clearly in everyday life.
Mastering English is more than just learning grammar or passing a test. It’s about building confidence, opening new doors, and connecting with people around you.
Whether you’re an A2-level learner just getting started, preparing for IELTS or TOEFL, or improving your English for work or travel, I’ll shape our lessons around your unique goals. My approach is flexible, practical, and focused on what you need most.
About Lisa: Why am I an ESL Teacher
I spent 25 years teaching high school as a special education teacher. Over the years, I taught social studies, English, and a bit of everything in between. I had the honor of working with incredible students—many of whom faced challenges not because of ability, but because of language barriers.
As time went on, I noticed how often English learners weren’t getting the support they truly needed. That realization planted a seed in me.
After taking early retirement, I decided to follow my passion. Today, I focus on teaching English as a second language, especially to adults who want to feel more confident, understood, and successful in real-life situations.
Because I’ve spent so many years in the classroom, I know how to create clear, supportive, and empowering lessons. I also know what it feels like to be stuck—and how powerful it is to finally be understood.
What You’ll Find in My Lessons
- Fluency & Confidence: Lessons that help you speak and write with ease
- Personalized Support: Grammar and vocabulary that match your level and learning style
- Real-World Practice: Tips for speaking clearly at work, while traveling, or in everyday life
Whether we’re working on conversation skills, writing professionally, or just feeling more relaxed when using English—I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
